From 16-year-old published columnist to tall-ship sailor to
newspaper journalist to freelance writer with a maritime focus
to (presently) communications consultant
Lifelong writer and photographer with
professional journalism and public relations
background.
Launched communications consultancy in 2007;
birthed first child in 2008 and now fully
appreciates the flexibility of working from her
home office!
Freelance articles, press releases, columns and
photos published in numerous consumer
magazines, trade journals and newspapers.
Broad knowledge base of maritime history and
traditional sailor’s arts; graduate of Williams
College-Mystic Seaport Maritime Studies
Program; two years’ employment on teaching
staff of east and west coast schooners.
Graduated magna cum laude, Smith College;
B.A. in American Studies, concentrations in
maritime studies and environmental studies;
member, Phi Beta Kappa.
